Praising parents, bucking burnout

One of the many benefits of offshoring with Staff Domain, is knowing your staff are very well taken care of. Their health, well-being and career development is central to our culture and staff events are a key pillar of Staff Domain’s engagement program. Here are some highlights from May and June.

Celebrating Mother's and Father's days

All parents are special, but working parents surely have superpowers of another kind. We celebrated the 86 mums and dads that work at Staff Domain Philippines on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day in June.

With parents such a huge part of our workforce, we always strive to provide the support, infrastructure and flexibility to raise a family and participate in the workforce in a fulltime capacity. But sometimes a small gift that brings a big smile is nice, too. A small token of appreciation to Staff Domain’s mums and dads, from their work family. Some stylish accessories and delicious treats for our super cool colleagues.

Tackling Burnout

If you haven’t read, said or heard the word burnout at least 10 times a week then you must be living under a rock! In October last year, Forbes reported “Burnout is an equal-opportunity international crisis that strikes companies, organizations, and the people who work for, manage or own them”.

The impact of burnout can be felt in productivity, bottom and line and ability to make smart decisions when faced with an issue or emergency. It doesn’t matter whether your team member is a talent sourcer in a recruitment agency or an offshore sales engineer at an IT company- anyone can be susceptible to burnout and it is everyone’s responsibility to help reduce it.

We held a virtual seminar on Dealing with Burnout hosted by Dr Eric L Dimar. Dr Dimar is one of the leading psychologists in the Philippines. The highly sough after speaker and facilitator spoke with 106 attendees from across our team in Manila and the Philippines and his workshop was met with rave reviews from staff.

It’s one part of our ongoing efforts to support our team and make a contribution to their overall wellbeing.

What's next?

Let’s just say we beat Paris to the Olympics, and saw some incredible sportsmanship worthy of the many Gold medals… But more on that next month!
