2025 Cebu Team Building: Full Day of Spirited Fun and Connection

At Staff Domain, we take our work seriously—but we know how to have serious fun too. And our recent team building event in Cebu was all the proof anyone needs.

Held at the stunning Bluewater Resort, our Cebu-based team traded their desks for palm trees, sea breeze, and plenty of sunshine. The day was all about connection, creativity, and a little friendly competition—Staff Domain style.

Fuelling Up at Allegro

The day kicked off with a hearty buffet lunch at the Allegro Restaurant. With plates full of delicious food and conversations flowing just as freely, it was the perfect way to fuel up for an afternoon of exciting activities.

Let the Games Begin at our Cebu Team Building 2025!

After lunch, it was time to turn up the energy. The team gathered for a series of fun and competitive games designed to bring out the best in everyone—from the loudest cheer to the highest tower.

The festivities began with a cheer-making contest. Each group brought their A-game, filling the space with laughter, chants, and plenty of team spirit. The creativity on display? Next level. It was a revelation for some, as certain individuals unleashed their hidden talents in dancing, much to the delight of the rest of the team.

Then came the games:

The Name Game: A quirky challenge where a group’s fate rested on one teammate with the longest name. With markers in hand, each representative raced to write out their full name on the board—hoping to rack up the most letters and the win.

Toxic Waste: This wasn’t your average relay game that tested the teams’ dexterity and creativity. They had to use only intertwined strings—no hands allowed—to transport a bottle of water and put it into a cup across the room. It was a wild mix of precision, teamwork, and a few near spills.

Mountain Stuff: Creativity went into overdrive as teams had to build the tallest tower using whatever they were wearing or had on hand. It proved to be quite a challenge because both teams didn’t really have a lot of stuff on hand. However, that didn’t stop everyone from getting creative. In true competitive mode, they resorted to using their iPhones as platforms for water bottles; they managed to stick the ends of pens and pencils together. Who knew such items could turn into skyscrapers?

Shake It Off: For the finale, this high-energy game, got every individual shaking, jumping, and dancing to remove sticky notes from their bodies. It was too much for some, as they burst out in laughter.

Celebrating One LEFRO Awardee

After the games, the team took a break to celebrate LEFRO awardee Mariah Germane Sorono. Previously recognised at the Q1 Townhall, Mariah received her certificate and, more importantly, was cheered on by her co-workers.

With snacks to recharge and laughter still echoing from the day’s activities, the rest of the afternoon was free time—whether that meant lounging by the pool, enjoying the beach, or just catching up with teammates outside of work mode.

After a magical night that took our South Africa team on an Arabian-inspired journey, it’s time to bring everyone together for a fun family day.

Held recently at the beautiful Tres Jolie Venue in Ruimsig, South Africa, 64 people from the Staff Domain SA location, including their families, participated in a day packed with activities that pushed everyone to be at their best.

The Family Day was designed to promote work-life balance, strengthen employee engagement, and celebrate team spirit. This year’s event truly delivered, providing everyone with an unforgettable day of fun, laughter, and camaraderie. It was a special in different ways.

More than just an annual event—it’s a celebration of Staff Domain’s company culture and core values. It goes beyond inviting employees and their families to join in the festivities. Company events like this foster a sense of belonging, so that each individual feels at home, secure, and comfortable within the organisation. From the moment guests arrived, they were treated to welcome drinks paired with freshly baked muffins and scones, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Tres Jolie expertly managed the venue preparation, food, drinks, and decor, ensuring everything ran smoothly.

The celebration was filled with heartfelt gestures and powerful stories, reminding us all of the strength and resilience of the women who make our workplace, and the world, better.

A Special Surprise for Our Amazing Women

March brought a special surprise for the women of Staff Domain. As they arrived at the office, they were greeted with beautiful roses and thoughtful messages. This simple yet meaningful gesture was designed to bring a moment of joy to their day and serve as a reminder of just how valued they are. More than just a token of appreciation, it was our way of acknowledging their contributions and celebrating their presence in our workplace.

Beyond Desk Work: Women of Staff Domain’s Journey

This International Women’s Month, we went beyond the desk to highlight the inspiring journeys of four incredible women at Staff Domain. Through candid conversations, they shared their experiences, personal philosophies, and what being a woman means to them.

Maria Cristina Combs

Known as ‘Mommy Combs’ to her colleagues, Maria Cristina Combs is Staff Domain’s first compliance officer. She is the only woman on her team, but that has never stopped her from fostering a warm and welcoming environment. Her journey at Staff Domain has been one of growth—from starting as a lead generation specialist to earning a well-deserved promotion to compliance officer.

Beyond her professional achievements, she is grateful for the balance she has found between work and motherhood. For her, family is everything, and she draws inspiration from her own mother, who taught her about financial independence, hard work, and perseverance. To her, being a woman means being the ‘light of the home,’ and she encourages other women to push past their limits, aim high, and work relentlessly toward their goals.

Samantha Williams

Samantha Williams, our Executive Operations Coordinator, has a unique story shaped by her global upbringing. Having moved across countries every few years, she developed an adventurous spirit that continues to define her life. She has set a goal to visit 40 countries by the time she turns 40—a testament to her love for exploration.

But Samantha’s journey is not just about travel. She is also a devoted daughter and sister, cherishing the special moments she shares with her family. A recent trip to Vietnam with her mother and sister deepened her appreciation for making lasting memories with loved ones. She believes that life is about experiences, and she is committed to creating meaningful moments with the people who matter most.

Minni O’Santos

As a Customer Onboarding Success Partner, Minni O’Santos thrives on connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. Her biggest inspiration is her grandmother—whom she lovingly calls “Mom.” Describing her as the sweetest and most generous person she knows, Minni credits her with shaping her values and outlook on life.

Minni is also an artist at heart. Her passion for creativity is reflected in her tattoos, each one carrying a personal story. One of her favourites is the mask from the anime Princess Mononoke, which symbolises the challenges women face in male-dominated industries. She believes that true strength lies in embracing vulnerability and adapting to challenges. Her personal motto, ‘Do it afraid,’ serves as a reminder that taking action despite fear is always more rewarding than living with regret.

Jocelyn Singson

Jocelyn Singson, an Administrative Assistant at Peak Marketing, has a story of resilience and determination. As a former working student, she carried responsibilities beyond her years, proving her ability to stand strong in the face of adversity. She openly shared the challenges of balancing work and studies, often sacrificing sleep to make ends meet.

Despite her tough exterior, Jocelyn acknowledges that all women, no matter how strong they appear, need support, encouragement, and kindness. She finds empowerment in creative expression—whether through dance, pageants, or long motorcycle rides. Her advice to other women is simple yet profound: ‘Face your fears.’ She believes that true growth comes from stepping outside of one’s comfort zone and embracing new experiences. Her message is clear: ‘Your dreams are valid. Keep rising.’

These stories are a testament to the strength, passion, and resilience of the women of Staff Domain. Each of them has forged her own path, overcome challenges and inspired those around her. Their experiences remind us that success comes from courage, authenticity, and perseverance.

Staff Domain’s “Bask n Groove”: A Coachella-Themed Team Building and Summer Party to Remember

The sun, sand, and good vibes were in full swing as Staff Domain brought its summer event, “Bask n Groove: A Coachella-Themed Team Building and Summer Party 2025” to the beautiful Canyon Cove, Nasugbu, Batangas on March 8 and 9, 2025. This two-day celebration was packed with energy, fun, and unforgettable moments. It was the perfect way to connect, unwind, and embrace the spirit of summer together as a unified unit.

The Journey Begins

Staff Domain employees gathered bright and early at the Ortigas office, buzzing with excitement for the adventure ahead. Upon arrival at Canyon Cove, everyone was greeted by the stunning beachside view, setting the perfect stage for a day filled with bonding, friendly competition, and celebration.

Team Building and Summer Party: Stronger Together, Colourfully United

The event kicked off with exciting team building activities specially designed to strengthen teamwork, boost morale, and create lasting memories. The entire session was facilitated by J-Controls Outdoor Leisure Services, ensuring a well-organised and engaging experience for everyone.

To ignite the competitive spirit, employees were divided into colourful teams — Green, Purple, Blue, Red, Orange, and Yellow — and proudly wore custom–made team shirts. The burst of colours added even more fun and energy to the beachside event.

First up was the Chant competition, where each team composed and performed their own cheer—combining clever rhymes, upbeat energy, and impressive group effort to hype up their members and win the crowd’s applause. It was a lively and creative way to set the tone for a day of teamwork and fun.

Next was “The Most,” where teams nominated a member who best fit fun and quirky categories such as:

“The Most Generous”

“The Smallest Hands”

“The Longest Name”

Nominees proudly embraced their titles, making everyone laugh and bringing out each person’s unique charm.

“Pass the Coin” followed. It was a fast-paced game that tested quick thinking, sharp reflexes, and team coordination as members had to work in pairs and hold a coin between their fingers. They must not drop the coin and then successfully pass it to the next pair.

Taking the action outdoors, teams went head-to-head in “Earth Ball Relay,” a game that required focus and collaboration—and the ability to ignore the scorching heat of the sun. Holding a piece of black cloth, players had to work in pairs and must keep a ball bouncing in the air. They must pass it to the next pair and successfully shoot it in a basket to earn a point. The team that has the most points wins.

Finally, teams put their creativity and resourcefulness to the test in “Mountain Stuff.” Here, teams had to build the highest structure they could, using any personal items they could find around them— from the clothes on their backs, flip-flops, caps, hats, and even random beach finds like bottles and sticks.

Everyone brought their A-game that day and the level of competitiveness was through the roof. The teams gave their best performances, and while everyone’s efforts were commendable, only one came out on top. In the end, the Orange Team emerged as the overall champion with their standout teamwork and energy. The Yellow Team came in at a strong second place, while the Blue Team proudly took third place.

It was a fun-filled morning that brought out the creativity, collaboration, and competitiveness out of everyone. But, more importantly, it brought everyone closer together.

A Feast and Chill Vibes at Our Team Building and Summer Party Event

After an active and fun-filled morning, everyone gathered at the Oceanic Function Hall for a well-deserved lunch, where great company enjoyed good food. The afternoon gave everyone a chance to relax and recharge. They had free time to enjoy the beach, swim, or simply hang out with friends and colleagues.

Bask n Groove Evening Party: Where Festival Meets Celebration

As the sun began to set, the much-awaited Coachella-themed evening party began. And it did not disappoint. Everyone arrived in style, dressed in their best festival-inspired looks, ready to dance the night away.

The party opened with warm messages from CEO Justin Pavsic and CFO Ben Rajah, both celebrating the team’s achievements and setting an upbeat tone for the night.

Live performances lit up the stage, energising the crowd from the get-go. One of the night’s most exciting moments was the OOTD Runway, where employees showed off their fab outfits, a fun and fashionable highlight that had everyone cheering.

There was no shortage of entertainment as more performances came while the delicious dinner was served. Later, the Farewell Walk of SD Summer Bodies 2024 began, giving a light-hearted nod to everyone ready for summer.

A Special Creative Corner: Customised Bracelet Station by Miracle Blossoms

Adding to the unique experiences of the day was a creative corner called “Miracle Blossoms.” It was a fun nook set up at the beach, where everyone had the chance to create beautiful, customised bracelets. This thoughtful touch allowed employees to design their own keepsakes, making personalised accessories that symbolised their experience and connections made during the event.

Whether it was a bracelet that captured a favourite colour, a word of inspiration, or simply a fun beach vibe, the Miracle Blossoms station was a hit, providing a meaningful and creative activity for everyone to enjoy and remember.

Celebrating Excellence: Q1 LEFRO Awardees

Another highlight of the night was the recognition of Staff Domain’s Q1 LEFRO Awardees, honouring individuals who exemplified the company’s core values.

These awards recognise employees who have gone above and beyond, not only delivering great work but also embodying Staff Domain’s culture of excellence, collaboration, and respect.

A Night of Magic: February 2025 Staff Engagement Celebration

Our February 2025 Staff Engagement – A Celebration of Team Spirit was all about celebrating work-life balance, team spirit, and well-being in the most exciting way possible! And what better way to do that than by whisking everyone away on a magical journey inspired by the timeless tales of Arabian Nights!

We believe that a workplace should be more than just a place to get the job done, it should be a space where employees feel valued, engaged, and truly part of a team. We know that a thriving team balances hard work with fun, camaraderie, and moments to recharge.

From the moment people arrived, they were greeted by a dazzling spectacle of vibrant colours, rich fabrics, and a warm, festive atmosphere. The air buzzed with excitement as colleagues transformed into sultans, princesses, and mysterious travellers, all eager to embark on an unforgettable adventure. It was a night where friendships were strengthened, laughter was endless, and everyone had the chance to step away from their desks and treat themselves to an evening of pure fun and relaxation.

Step into the Magic: Costumes & Decorations That Brought the Theme to Life

It wasn’t just a party; it was a full-on transformation! Flowing robes, shimmering silks, and regal turbans filled the room as Staff Domain employees went all out to embrace the Arabian theme. With intricate embroidery, golden accessories, and headpieces that made everyone feel like they had stepped straight out of a magical storybook.

The efforts they poured into their fabulous outfits proved worthwhile for two of our team members. Levine Hassen and Channe Losseny stole the spotlight ala Arabian royalty and won the Best Dressed Award

The entire office was unrecognisable. It was decked out with golden lanterns flickering in the dim lighting, and plush cushions scattered across cosy seating areas. The exotic scenery served as perfect backdrops for capturing those Insta-worthy moments.

Desert Ball Madness: A Fun-Filled Showdown of Skill & Team Spirit During the Staff Engagement

The Desert Ball competition had everyone on their feet—and pumped up with the competitive spirit. Teams threw themselves into the challenge with full force! They dodged, leapt, and strategised their way through the game, giving it everything they had. The energy was electric, and the crowd roared with encouragement as the teams battled for victory.

In the end, Reabetswe Shadi and Abednego Sibiya came out on top as champions.

Since the night is all about journeys and magic, it was the perfect moment to celebrate one of our own—the amazing Angela Ume–Njamma, our Employee of the Month!

The Lifestyle 180 Workplace Fitness Kick-off

The start of 2025 brought an electrifying new initiative at Staff Domain—Lifestyle 180—a 10-month workplace fitness journey designed to empower employees through holistic wellness and professional development. With a vision to foster healthier habits, career growth, and personal transformation, the program launched in January to an outpouring of excitement and enthusiasm.

The January kick-off event was nothing short of inspiring. The ability to be coachable—to take feedback, ask for help, and stay committed—is what sets apart those who succeed.

Guidance, Not Shortcuts: The coaching team is here to paint the road yellow, guiding participants through their personalised plans. There’s no magic formula—just consistent effort, smart adjustments, and long-term commitment.

Check-Ins & First Awarding: Every four weeks, we conduct a detailed program check-in to analyse progress. This timeline aligns with scientific biological processes—most transformations take about four weeks to manifest! The first awarding will take place at the end of Q1, so stay consistent and keep pushing forward!

Encouraging Work-from-Home Employees to Join: Feedback from remote participants has been overwhelmingly positive. To encourage more remote workers to join, we’ll be reaching out directly and encouraging participants to share content from their check-ins between Feb 17 and Feb 21.

Open Heart, Open Mic: A Valentine’s Event of Acoustic Tunes & Heartfelt Talks

Love bloomed at Staff Domain as the company came together on February 14, 2025, for a Valentine’s Day celebration filled with acoustic tunes, prizes, and heartfelt talk. The pantry became a venue for love, with shades of red filling the room, setting the place for the day’s celebration.

The event began with an uplifting message from Ben Rajah, the CFO and Co-Founder of Staff Domain, who encouraged the team to enjoy the moment, celebrate together, and make the most of the activities prepared. It was a great way to start the event, bringing excitement and a sense of togetherness to everyone in attendance. Up next was Emerson Mendoza, the Global Head of Human Resources, who delivered his inspirational message to the employees.

Words that Touch the Heart

Following the sincere speech by the Global Head of HR, he went on to announce the winners of Heartfelt Moments, a love story and self-love writing competition. The competition had taken place several days before the event, giving participants ample time to write their essays and allowing judges sufficient time to select the winners.

The stories shared by staff were deeply moving, showcasing love in all its forms—from romantic tales to powerful journeys of self-love and self-discovery. Every entry reflected the writers’ strengths in narrating their journeys, regardless of how their experiences may have once broken them. Among the many entries, five minor awards and two grand winners were given to the most outstanding pieces in both writing and storytelling:

To make the event even more special, the company invited Joelle Yuvienco, the voice behind the popular Spotify podcast “Paano Kung…,” to lead a heartfelt talk on love alongside the host. Known for honest and deeply emotional conversations exploring love, relationships, and “what if” moments, she shared her insights on the common challenges people face in relationships. Together with the host, she led “Swipe Right for Advice: A Puso Talk with Joelle.”

The heart of the session was the interactive Q&A between Joelle and the staff. Employees actively participated, openly sharing their stories and asking questions about their personal experiences with love, relationships, and self-discovery. Joelle’s session did more than just provide answers—it reminded everyone that their voices mattered, their stories were valid, and their participation helped shape the company’s culture. It was truly one of the meaningful parts of the event, giving everyone a chance to reflect on their own experience, address lingering questions, and view love from a different perspective.

Acoustic Tunes

Setting the romantic vibe and atmosphere, the band “GSeven” serenaded the employees with acoustic tunes. The soft melodies of the band’s performance created a perfect backdrop as the staff enjoyed their meals. Songs continued to play even after the meal, with the band taking song requests from employees, ensuring everyone’s favourite tunes were played. The momentum carried on as a sing-along session began, with employees invited to grab the mic and sing along with Ken Fraser, the lead singer. The room was filled with laughter, applause, and employees singing altogether.

Exciting Games

The Valentine’s event brought employees together through exciting games designed to spark connection and fun. Both onsite and remote employees participated in a lively Valentine-themed trivia challenge, answering questions about love, famous romance stories, and relationship facts. The game was more than just a test of knowledge—it was a chance to break the ice, share a few laughs, and strengthen team bonds, no matter where employees were working from.

The second game was Heart Hunt. Before the event began, the organisers placed heart-shaped papers in different parts of the pantry, and the goal was to collect six to win a prize. Meanwhile, the WFH team had a creative twist on the hunt—they had to find four heart-shaped items around their house and share them during the event to win.

The game added a playful vibe to the celebration, as it took place throughout the event. It was a fun and lively way to keep everyone engaged and connected, making the experience even more interactive and enjoyable.

Staff Domain South Africa kicked off 2025 with an unforgettable Caribbean Island-themed party, held on the 23rd of January 2025, at the Randburg office.

The event, designed to enhance staff engagement, aimed to foster stronger connections among employees, the company, and their teams. It was a heartfelt gesture from Staff Domain to show appreciation for the incredible dedication and hard work the employees pour into their roles every single day.

More than just a party, the event was a meaningful opportunity to recognise and honour the invaluable contribution of everyone, reminding their efforts are seen and valued.

With the colourful decorations, it felt like a vibrant island paradise had been brought all the way from the Caribbean to the office. The room was alive with colour from the very bright and lively hues to cheerful accents throughout the space. The atmosphere is nothing short of tropical and the employees were fully immersed in the festive island atmosphere, creating the perfect escape from the everyday office grind.

A Feast Fit for an Island Paradise

Lunchtime turned into a flavourful, hands-on experience with a “Build Your Own Burger” bar, where employees customised their perfect burgers from a variety of toppings. Fresh salads and island-inspired sides added a tropical twist to the meal.

To round things off, creamy ice cream lollies provided a refreshing and indulgent treat, perfectly complementing the island theme. The event wasn’t just a meal—it was a fun and memorable experience that brought employees together in a unique way.

Every Staff Domain event is not complete without a touch of friendly competition to spice things up. This event was no exception, as staff come together to celebrate in style embracing the vibrant and lively spirit of a Caribbean theme. Featuring their skills and ability, the employees flaunted their Caribbean-themed outfit.

However, amidst the number of dazzling outfits, only two managed to rise above the rest, triumphing with looks that truly captured the attention and admiration of everyone. After much deliberation for the Best Dressed Competition, the following were crowned the winners for their fabulous attire.

Staff members stepped up to the challenge, each one determined to outdo the last with their unique approach to sliding under the bar. As the pole continued to lower, plenty of laughter and cheers filled the space with fun and their drive to win.

Staff Domain’s 2024 Year-End Luncheon was a day to remember. The gathering was held at the Mabweni Venue in Usambara Lodge. Guests were welcomed into a serene atmosphere featuring a picturesque view of nature. The setting provided the perfect backdrop for an intimate, memorable event that brought the team together to celebrate the year’s achievements.

Feast of a Luncheon

The luncheon was a culinary delight. It began with a delicious Caribbean Phyllo Basket. The main spread included BBQ chicken, tender roast beef, and an array of delectable sides such as cauliflower and broccoli au gratin, sweet potato crumble, and creamy samp. The dessert station was no less impressive, offering warm malva pudding, garnished mousse, and timeless vanilla ice cream. The whole menu delighted everyone’s palate.
